Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced a strategic partnership with Plugsurfing, one of Europe’s largest EV charging service providers, giving its customers seamless access to more than 1 million public charging points across 24 countries via the VinFast app.
The collaboration, which covers key markets including Germany, France, and the Netherlands, integrates over 550,000 charging points in these regions alone. VinFast VF 6 and VF 8 owners will receive free new charging cards, with all existing account balances, charging history, and benefits preserved during the transition.
With more than a decade in the EV charging sector, Plugsurfing’s extensive network addresses one of Europe’s most pressing EV challenges — a fragmented charging infrastructure. The partnership strengthens VinFast’s European growth strategy and supports its commitment to promoting green mobility.
“By teaming up with Plugsurfing, we’re not only expanding our charging network but also enhancing convenience and the overall experience for our customers,” said Le Ngoc Chi, CEO of VinFast Europe.
Plugsurfing COO Sofia Diakhate echoed the sentiment, highlighting the shared goal of delivering a more reliable, accessible charging experience across Europe.
VinFast currently offers two smart EV models in Europe — the VF 6 (B-segment) and VF 8 (D-segment) — and is exploring further additions to its lineup. The automaker is also strengthening aftersales services through partnerships with ATU (Germany), Norauto (France), LKQ (Netherlands), and Fixico, ensuring high-standard maintenance and repair services across the continent.
Beyond Europe, VinFast is expanding into markets including Indonesia, the Philippines, India, the Middle East, and North America, underscoring its ambition to accelerate the global shift to sustainable mobility.
