Electrify America, the largest open hyper-fast charging network in the U.S., has partnered with Royal Farms, the well-known neighborhood convenience store chain, to bring electric vehicle (EV) charging to eight Royal Farms locations across Maryland.
The first stations, now operational in Halethorpe and Oxon Hill, feature hyper-fast chargers delivering speeds of up to 350 kW—capable of adding significant range to a compatible EV in as little as 20 minutes. Additional sites in Annapolis, Catonsville, Charlotte Hall, Columbia, Pikesville, and Towson are set to open soon. Once complete, the collaboration will provide more than 55 individual chargers, integrated into Electrify America’s nationwide network of over 1,000 stations and 5,000 chargers. “Our collaboration with Royal Farms brings Hyper-Fast charging to the places drivers already know and visit regularly,” said Anthony Lambkin, vice president of operations at Electrify America. “By combining speed and convenience, we’re helping make the EV experience more effortless, whether you’re on a daily commute or taking a longer road trip.”
By pairing cutting-edge charging technology with Royal Farms’ signature fresh food and beverage offerings, the partnership makes it easier and more convenient for Maryland drivers to recharge—whether they’re topping up their battery or taking a quick break.
