VinFast Auto India, the Indian arm of Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, has entered into a strategic partnership with HDFC Bank to provide comprehensive financing solutions for customers and dealers ahead of its official market debut.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), VinFast’s first tie-up with a banking institution in India, will deliver tailored credit offerings such as attractive interest rates, flexible repayment plans, 100% on-road funding, exclusive benefits, and priority services across the company’s full EV lineup. Dedicated HDFC Bank representatives will be stationed at all VinFast showrooms to provide on-the-spot assistance, making electric mobility more accessible to a broader consumer base.
Leveraging HDFC Bank’s extensive branch network and robust digital platforms, the collaboration will extend VinFast’s reach across both urban hubs and emerging markets, in line with its mission to accelerate the adoption of sustainable transport solutions in one of the world’s fastest-growing EV markets.
The agreement was signed by Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, and Akhilesh Kumar Roy, Business Head – Auto Loans, Inventory Finance, and Two-Wheeler Loans, HDFC Bank.
“This MoU marks a significant milestone in our efforts to make electric mobility more inclusive, convenient, and future-ready for Indian consumers,” said Pham Sanh Chau. “Partnering with a trusted banking institution like HDFC Bank ensures we are building not just a product lineup, but also the financial ecosystem needed to support customers and dealers at every stage.”
Arvind Vohra, Group Head – Retail Assets, HDFC Bank, added: “As EV adoption accelerates, access to financing will be key. Our collaboration with VinFast reflects our commitment to enabling customers to achieve their green aspirations with ease.”
The partnership comes as VinFast prepares to introduce its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUV models in India, underscoring its broader strategy to establish a strong customer-focused footprint supported by a robust retail and financial network.
