Vietnamese automaker VinFast has unveiled a new battery subscription policy for all its electric vehicle (EV) models in Indonesia, offering customers savings of up to IDR 113 million and significantly reducing the upfront cost of EV ownership.

The program applies to the entire VinFast lineup, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, and VF 7, and allows customers to purchase vehicles with or without the battery. Under the subscription plan, ownership costs start as low as IDR 156 million, with monthly battery fees beginning at IDR 253,000.

Key savings include:

  • VF 3 mini-SUV: On-road price of IDR 156 million with subscription, saving IDR 74.13 million.
  • VF 5 Eco: Price of IDR 232 million, saving IDR 91.17 million.
  • VF e34: Priced at IDR 299 million, with the highest saving of IDR 112.86 million.
  • VF 6 Eco & Plus: Savings of up to IDR 49.9 million.
  • VF 7 Eco & Plus AWD: Savings of up to IDR 60 million.

The subscription comes with a lifetime battery warranty, covering maintenance, repairs, and free replacement if charging capacity falls below 70%. This eliminates concerns about battery degradation and depreciation, a major hurdle in EV adoption.

VinFast is complementing the scheme with free charging at V-GREEN stations, loan incentives, accessory bonuses, and a resale value guarantee of up to 90% after six months and 70% after three years.

Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, emphasized:
“Our customer-centric philosophy drives us to continuously refine our policies. With this subscription model, we aim to provide flexible financial solutions, ease the transition to EVs, and reaffirm our long-term commitment to Indonesian consumers.”

Since entering Indonesia just over a year ago, VinFast has rolled out five EV models while expanding its dealership, service, and charging networks. The new subscription policy further strengthens the brand’s ambition to accelerate Indonesia’s shift toward sustainable mobility.
