AITO Expands Global Footprint with ASEAN Tour, Showcasing China’s Smart Luxury EVs

AITO, the luxury intelligent vehicle brand nurtured in Chongqing by SERES Automobile, has officially launched its ASEAN market journey with the “Open The Way With AITO” ceremony held at the SERES Super Factory.

This milestone not only highlights the globalization of Chongqing-made vehicles but also serves as a strategic initiative under the Belt and Road framework, strengthening China’s automotive presence in Southeast Asia.

The ASEAN expedition follows last year’s “Eurasian Tour with AITO,” which spanned 38 days, crossed 12 countries, and debuted at the Paris Motor Show, marking AITO’s first major international showcase. In 2025, the fleet will head south into Southeast Asia, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia.

Leon He, President of SERES Automobile, emphasized the significance of the tour: “This ASEAN journey is strategically important for us as we expand into Southeast Asia. AITO represents intelligence redefining luxury and sets a new benchmark for China’s smart manufacturing on the global stage.”

Built to handle Southeast Asia’s diverse terrains—from urban congestion to rainforest trails—AITO vehicles feature Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension for enhanced comfort and stability, alongside the Super Extended-Range Platform, boasting 44.8% thermal efficiency and a driving range over 1,000 km.

Beyond the roadshow, AITO aims to engage with local users, refine its offerings, and foster partnerships to build a sustainable global smart mobility ecosystem.

With this initiative, AITO reaffirms its commitment to bringing Chinese innovation and intelligent mobility solutions to international markets, making every journey smarter, safer, and more connected.
