Volvo Cars reported global sales of 49,273 vehicles in July, marking a 14% decline compared to the same month last year.
Electrified models—comprising both fully electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs)—represented 45% of total sales, down 21% year-over-year. Fully electric cars accounted for 21%, while plug-in hybrids made up 23% of overall sales.
Among individual models, the XC60 remained the brand’s top seller with 16,813 units, up from 15,577 in July 2024. The XC40/EX40 followed with 12,087 sales (down from 13,818), while the XC90 recorded 7,266 units, compared to 8,146 a year earlier.
Despite the overall decline, Volvo’s strong performance of the XC60 highlighted continued consumer demand for its premium SUV range.
