OPG Mobility (formerly Okaya EV), a key player in India’s electric mobility sector, has announced the appointment of Mr. Maharana Ray as President & Chief Growth Officer (CGO). In his new role, he will spearhead the company’s EV business, including the Ferrato and OTTOOPG brands, while driving expansion, market development, brand building, and strategic alliances across the electric mobility value chain.
Mr. Ray brings with him over two decades of experience in the automobile, electric mobility, and energy sectors, with expertise spanning sales, service, spares, channel management, and HR. He most recently served as Vice President at Chetak Electric (Bajaj Auto), where he successfully expanded the brand’s pan-India footprint by leading network development, strategic planning, and customer experience initiatives.
Having worked across 16 international and domestic markets, Mr. Ray is regarded as a well-rounded leader known for accelerating business expansion and forging high-impact partnerships. An alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, he has also received leadership training at IIM Ahmedabad.
