Kinetic Engineering Ltd. (KEL) has announced its much-awaited comeback in the two-wheeler market with the launch of the all-new Kinetic DX EV, an advanced electric scooter under its EV arm Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd. (KWV). The DX, which became a household name in the 1990s, has now been reimagined for the modern era, carrying forward its legacy of reliability and innovation.
The new DX EV has been designed in collaboration with Italian designers, ensuring that its timeless silhouette and practicality remain intact while integrating cutting-edge technology. Positioned as a true family vehicle, the scooter comes in two variants – DX and DX+.

The DX EV also features a strong metal body, a spacious floorboard, and a class-leading 37-litre under-seat storage, capable of holding one full and one half helmet along with daily essentials.
Powering the scooter is a 2.6 kWh LFP battery from Range-X, offering up to 4 times longer life (2,500–3,500+ cycles) compared to conventional NMC batteries. With Kinetic’s proprietary K-Coast regenerative technology and a 60V system, the DX+ variant delivers an IDC range of up to 116 km. Performance is driven by a peppy motor that can achieve speeds of up to 90 km/hr, with three riding modes – Range, Power, and Turbo.
Both variants include reverse and hill-hold functions, front telescopic suspension, adjustable rear shocks, and safety features like a 220 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum with combi-braking.
Tech-Packed Experience
The scooters come with a dedicated mobile app, while the DX+ variant offers advanced “Telekinetic” smart features such as real-time ride data, geo-fencing, intruder alerts, and “Find/Track My Kinetic.” Adding a personal touch, the “My Kiney Companion” voice alerts greet riders, notify safety warnings, and even wish them on their birthday.
Other features include Bluetooth connectivity for instant CRM support, music, and voice navigation through built-in speakers.
Pricing and Availability
- Kinetic DX: ₹1,11,499 (ex-showroom, Pune)
- Kinetic DX+: ₹1,17,499 (ex-showroom, Pune)
Bookings are open online at www.kineticev.in for a token amount of ₹1,000, with deliveries beginning in September 2025. Only 35,000 units are available in the first phase. The DX is offered in Silver and Black, while the DX+ comes in five shades – Red, Blue, White, Silver, and Black.

Kinetic Watts and Volts has already secured ₹72 crore capitalization, with an additional ₹177 crore pledged by promoters to scale up the DX platform.
