In a major step toward building a cleaner and smarter mobility ecosystem in Northeast India, A Plus Charge has announced a strategic partnership with Ather Energy, one of the country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers. The collaboration aims to strengthen the region’s EV charging infrastructure and accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption in one of India’s most promising yet under-penetrated markets.
Under the agreement, Ather Energy will establish fast-charging points at multiple high-traffic and strategic locations across the Northeast. These stations will be powered by A Plus Charge’s high-capacity infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and a seamless user experience.
The new charging points will be LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) compatible, catering to a wide range of light electric vehicles (LEVs). Installations will begin soon, starting with Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Siliguri, followed by expansion into Jorhat, Dimapur, Agartala, and other key cities in the coming months.
We are excited to partner with Ather Energy, a company that shares our vision of sustainable and smart mobility. This collaboration will not only accelerate EV adoption in the Northeast but also reinforce A Plus Charge’s position as the region’s top full-stack Charge Point Operator (CPO),” said Samyak Jain, Founder & Director, A Plus Charge.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in the Northeast’s transition to an inclusive, future-ready EV ecosystem, bridging the infrastructure gap in a region often overlooked in India’s electrification drive.
