In a major boost to the electric mobility landscape of Northeast India, A Plus Charge has announced a strategic partnership with Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers. The collaboration aims to establish a robust electric vehicle (EV) charging network across the region, accelerating the adoption of EVs in the Northeast.
As part of the partnership, Ather Energy will install fast chargers at multiple strategic locations throughout the region. These installations will be powered by A Plus Charge’s high-capacity infrastructure and will support all Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS) compatible Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs). The chargers are expected to offer seamless uptime and high-quality user experience.
The initiative will initially focus on key urban centers such as Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Siliguri, with expansion plans underway for cities including Jorhat, Dimapur, and Agartala. The chargers will be located across city hubs, major commuting routes, and high-footfall areas to support the region’s growing number of EV users.
“We are excited to partner with Ather Energy, a company that shares our vision of sustainable and smart mobility,” said Samyak Jain, Founder and Director of A Plus Charge. “This collaboration will not only accelerate EV adoption in the Northeast but also reinforce A Plus Charge’s position as the region’s top full-stack Charge Point Operator (CPO).”
Installations are set to begin soon, with the goal of creating an inclusive and future-ready EV ecosystem across one of India’s most dynamic yet underserved regions.
