In a significant move towards strengthening its footprint in India, VinFast Auto India, the Indian arm of global EV major VinFast, has inaugurated its first showroom in Gujarat. Located in the bustling area of Piplod, Surat, the new dealership—VinFast Surat—is promoted by renowned automotive retailer Chandan Car and stands as a testament to the brand’s long-term commitment to building a robust, customer-centric electric mobility ecosystem in India.
Spanning over 3,000 square feet, the showroom is designed to offer immersive product experiences and streamlined vehicle purchase journeys, complemented by world-class after-sales support. The facility will feature VinFast’s upcoming premium electric SUVs—the VF 6 and VF 7—which are currently open for pre-bookings.
The pre-booking window for the VF 6 and VF 7 officially opened on July 15, 2025, with a fully refundable booking amount of ₹21,000. Customers can reserve their vehicles either through VinFast showrooms or online via the company’s official website VinFastAuto.in.
Addressing the launch event, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, stated,
The first VinFast showroom in Surat is a symbol of our deep commitment to India. With this dealership in Gujarat, we aim to offer not just electric vehicles, but a complete ownership journey built on quality, trust, and service excellence.
As part of its aggressive expansion strategy, VinFast plans to establish 35 dealerships across 27+ Indian cities by the end of 2025. All vehicles will be locally assembled at the company’s upcoming state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, further reinforcing its vision to make India a strategic hub for EV production.
In tandem with its retail rollout, VinFast has forged key partnerships with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to ensure a seamless national network for EV charging and after-sales services. Additionally, the company has joined hands with BatX Energies to promote battery recycling, emphasizing its focus on sustainable practices and circular economy goals.
With the Surat showroom marking its retail debut in Gujarat, VinFast is poised to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in India with a blend of global technology, local assembly, and a green vision for the future.
