VinFast officially launched and began sales of its latest all-electric SUV, the VF 7, in Indonesia today, marking a significant milestone in the Vietnamese automaker’s rapid expansion across Southeast Asia. Unveiled at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, the VF 7 becomes VinFast’s fifth model to debut in the Indonesian market, further solidifying its position as a leader in the country’s growing electric vehicle (EV) landscape.
The VF 7 is offered in two variants—VF 7 Eco and VF 7 Plus—with prices starting from IDR 499,000,000 and IDR 599,000,000 respectively (on-the-road, battery included). For early buyers, the first 200 customers will benefit from special introductory pricing of IDR 468,000,000 for the Eco and IDR 568,000,000 for the Plus model, valid until September 1, 2025 or until the limit is reached.
As part of its aggressive customer-first strategy, VinFast is offering free charging at V-GREEN stations across Indonesia until March 1, 2028, and an industry-leading 10-year or 200,000 km vehicle warranty, adding significant value for EV adopters.
Design and Features
Designed in collaboration with Italy’s renowned Torino Design, the VF 7 showcases the “Asymmetric Aerospace” design language, giving it a futuristic, athletic profile. Key highlights include the signature “V” LED light strips, a sloping coupe-like roofline, bold alloy wheels (up to 19 inches), and a driver-focused interior with premium leather seats, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, HUD, and piano key-style gear selectors.
Measuring 4,545 mm in length with a 2,840 mm wheelbase, the VF 7 ensures generous cabin space. The vehicle is available in five exterior and two interior color schemes, with the Plus variant offering a stylish two-tone finish.
Power and Performance
The VF 7 Plus is equipped with dual electric motors, generating 260 kW (349 hp) and 500 Nm torque, supported by a 70.8 kWh battery and all-wheel-drive setup, offering a range of 471 km (NEDC). The VF 7 Eco, targeted at city commuters, comes with a single 130 kW (174 hp) motor, 250 Nm torque, a 59.6 kWh battery, and a 430 km range.
Advanced Safety and ADAS
Safety is a top priority with 7 airbags and a comprehensive suite of features including ABS, EBD, ESC, TCS, HSA, ROM, and more. The Plus model further enhances safety and convenience with 17 ADAS features, such as Highway Assist, Auto Lane Changing Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Braking, and a 360-degree surround view system. All VF 7 models will also benefit from complimentary OTA updates.
