Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) and Subaru of America have officially pulled the wraps off the all-new 2026 Subaru Uncharted EV, a dynamic all-electric compact SUV, at a global debut event held in New York City. Marking Subaru’s boldest stride yet into the EV space, the Uncharted promises a blend of performance, technology, and adventure-ready utility, wrapped in expressive styling.

As Subaru’s first all-electric small compact SUV, the Uncharted lives up to its name—designed to lead drivers into new territory, both literally and figuratively. The model is expected to hit Canadian dealerships in early 2026.

Performance to Explore New Roads

The 2026 Uncharted brings robust performance, boasting up to 338 horsepower and an estimated 0–100 km/h acceleration in under five seconds in all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. It offers both front-wheel drive (FWD) and AWD trims, including Sport and GT versions equipped with Subaru’s signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode traction control for off-road capability.

Powering the Uncharted is a 77.0-kWh lithium-ion battery, with AWD variants delivering up to 460 kilometres of range, while FWD long-range models are projected to exceed 480 kilometres on a single charge.

Smart, Seamless Technology

Inside, the Uncharted is equipped with a standard 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard dual wireless smartphone chargers up front and USB-C ports for rear passengers cater to tech-savvy lifestyles.

Charging is quick and convenient with a standard NACS charging port, offering speeds up to 150 kW, enabling a *10% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes under ideal conditions. An 11-kW onboard charger provides easy access to Level 1 and Level 2 home charging setups.

Safety is paramount with Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist suite, featuring Pre-Collision Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Emergency Stop Assist, Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.

Design That Turns Heads

Subaru has combined utility with style in the Uncharted’s design. It features 18- or 20-inch wheels, a striking two-tone roof exclusive to the GT trim, sleek LED headlamps, and an illuminated Subaru six-star logo.
