Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially unveiled its highly anticipated all-new GSX-8T and GSX-8TT neo-retro street bikes, blending iconic design elements from the brand’s historic models with cutting-edge technology. Global sales are slated to begin in the summer of 2025, with Europe and North America positioned as the key launch markets.
These all-new models are part of Suzuki’s strategic push to revive classic design sensibilities while appealing to modern riders seeking agility, performance, and everyday comfort. Featuring a compact 776 cm³ liquid-cooled parallel twin engine—the same acclaimed powerplant used in the GSX-8S and GSX-8R—the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT promise a dynamic yet accessible riding experience for a wide range of motorcyclists.
A Retro Tribute with Modern Engineering
The GSX-8T draws inspiration from Suzuki’s legendary T500 “Titan” of the 1960s. Its design features include a matte black rear body, a vibrant tank color contrast, and a raised 3D emblem shaped like an eight ball—a subtle nod to decisive action in billiards.
Meanwhile, the GSX-8TT pays homage to the brand’s 1970s road racers, incorporating a signature headlight cowl, under cowl design, and a calm yet sporty black-and-gray body color scheme with accent decals. The “TT” suffix represents “Timeless Titan,” a concept that encapsulates the revival of heritage within a modern framework.
Rider-Centric Technologies
Both models are equipped with Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which includes:
- Ride-by-Wire throttle
- Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with 3 selectable power modes
- Traction Control System with 3 settings plus OFF
- Bi-Directional Quick Shift System for clutchless gear changes
- Suzuki Easy Start and Low RPM Assist for improved handling in low-speed or stop-go traffic conditions
Further enhancing ride quality is a lightweight aluminum swingarm and high-rigidity steel frame, designed to balance agility and stability. The bikes ride on cast wheels with 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear tubeless tires.
Lightweight, Efficient, and Ready for the Road
With a curb weight of 201 kg (GSX-8T) and 203 kg (GSX-8TT), and a fuel economy of 23.8 km/L (WMTC mode), both bikes offer a practical blend of power and efficiency. They are also equipped with ELIIY Power’s lithium-ion battery, known for excellent cold-start performance, compact design, and long-term reliability.
