In a significant stride towards global e-mobility, JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV), a leading name in electric public transport and ecosystem solutions, marked its entry into the European Union with the launch of its all-electric city bus ECOLIFE at the UITP Summit 2025 in Hamburg.
The bus was unveiled by Mr. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman of the $3.0 billion JBM Group, reinforcing the company’s mission to offer sustainable, smart, and safe public transportation solutions globally.
“Our mission is to decarbonize public transport by setting global benchmarks,” said Mr. Arya at the launch event. “JBM’s mobility solutions are more than just electric buses; they’re about transforming how cities move — making it safer, smarter, and more sustainable for communities.”
Strategic Expansion & Leasing Partnership
As part of its European market strategy, JBM EV announced its partnership with KazenMaier, a German leasing company focused on green asset financing. Together, the two companies aim to provide turnkey e-mobility solutions, combining electric buses, charging infrastructure, and flexible financing.

European HQ & Local Operations
JBM EV also inaugurated its European headquarters in Frankfurt, which will oversee marketing, sales, operations, and partnerships across the EU. The European business will be led by Mr. Daniel Frade, Director of Sales, Marketing & After Sales – Europe.
The company showcased its proprietary EV ecosystem platform ‘JBM E-Verse’, offering end-to-end mobility solutions from fast-charging infrastructure to lithium-ion batteries, all designed and developed in India.
ECOLIFE: Innovation Meets Safety
The newly launched ECOLIFE bus features a lightweight stainless-steel monocoque body, Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), and state-of-the-art safety technologies including:
- Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS)
- Lane Departure Warning System
- Pedestrian/Cyclist Collision Warning
- 360-Degree Camera
- Cybersecurity protection
- Fire Detection & Suppression System (FDSS)
- Driver fatigue and distraction alerts
The bus also meets EU Intelligent Transport System (ITS) norms and offers advanced telematics for real-time vehicle health tracking.

With 11,000 electric buses deployed or under execution, JBM EV boasts a remarkable track record across geographies. Its buses have clocked over 165 million electric kilometers, serving over 1 billion passengers, and saving 350+ million liters of diesel and over 1 billion kg of CO₂ emissions.
