SINBON’s self-developed liquid cooling system has officially become the world’s first to receive UL safety certification for EV chargers

In a landmark achievement for the electric vehicle (EV) industry, SINBON Electronics Co., Ltd. has become the first company in the world to receive UL safety certification for a liquid cooling system designed for EV charging stations. This breakthrough marks a significant leap forward in accelerating extreme fast charging (XFC) solutions that will redefine the global EV charging landscape.

The certified liquid cooling system, developed in-house by SINBON, addresses one of the most persistent bottlenecks in EV adoption — long charging times. By facilitating higher power delivery and superior thermal management, SINBON’s innovation enables ultra-fast, safe, and energy-efficient charging for both private users and commercial EV fleets.

As extreme fast charging becomes the future of the EV industry, advanced liquid cooling systems like SINBON’s are reducing charging times, improving energy efficiency, and ensuring equipment longevity,” said Hanson Zhou, R&D Manager at SINBON.

Key Benefits of SINBON’s Liquid Cooling System:

  • Ultra-fast Charging: Supports charging up to 1 Megawatt (1000A at 1000V), enabling a 100 kWh battery to charge in just 6 minutes.
  • Thermal Management: Maintains consistent power output through advanced heat dissipation.
  • Enhanced Safety and Efficiency: Minimizes heat buildup and energy losses, improving charging station durability.
  • Compact, Flexible Design: Allows for thinner, lighter cables without compromising safety.
  • Extreme Climate Resistance: Operates in temperatures as low as -40°C, ideal for harsh environments.
  • Versatile Coolant Support: Compatible with both water-based and oil-based coolants.
