Dacora Motors announced the launch of its debut electric vehicle, marking the return of ultra-luxury automotive craftsmanship to American soil for the first time in nearly 100 years. Handcrafted in New York’s Hudson Valley and designed in partnership with Pininfarina, the new EV blends classic design with cutting-edge performance and deep personalization. Reservations have already exceeded 150 percent of Dacora’s planned first-year production. Pricing begins at $500,000.
Each vehicle is built by hand at Dacora’s design atelier and garage using American-sourced components. The design is inspired by the sweeping elegance of 1930s Streamline Moderne, with a long hood, sculpted fenders, and a dramatic fastback silhouette. It’s a car that looks as good in motion as it does at rest.
But Dacora goes beyond timeless aesthetics. At the heart of the brand is the idea that a car should evolve with its owner. Interiors are fully modular and can be refreshed seasonally, offering a tactile, emotional, and customizable driving experience.
Twice a year, Dacora releases new interior collections that owners can swap in—think breathable wool for winter, linen for summer, and limited-edition materials for seasonal expression. Seating layouts are also modular, with options ranging from three to seven seats. Whether you want a rear-lounge executive setup or a family-friendly configuration, each seat includes individual lighting and climate controls. The cabin’s floor system adjusts to suit different driver body types, and customers can even supply their own heritage wood for custom interior finishes.
Inside the car, Dacora has rethought the way people interact with their vehicles. There are no touchscreen-dominated cockpits here. Instead, controls are mechanical, purposeful, and designed for muscle memory. A hidden digital display appears only when needed, seamlessly integrated behind a semi-transparent wood panel. The cabin is finished with natural materials like solid wood, woven wool, and hand-stitched leather—no plastic, no noise, no clutter.
Dacora’s first vehicle isn’t just a car. It’s a return to intentionality in design, a celebration of American craftsmanship, and a new chapter in what it means to drive. Commenting on the launch,Kristie D’Ambrosio-Correll, Co-Founder and CEO said “At Dacora, we believe true luxury is about connection – between driver and machine, tradition and technology, form and function. We set out to build a car that doesn’t compromise between beauty, power, and personalization. We’re inspired by timeless design and driven by a belief that the future of luxury is deeply personal, deeply connected, and unmistakably human.”
