Battery X Metals Inc., a forward-looking energy transition resource and technology company, is set to host its much-anticipated Exclusive Live Investor Reveal Event. The on-site event will take place at Factor E Motors Ltd. in Vancouver and will showcase Prototype 2.0—the company’s second-generation, patent-pending lithium-ion battery rebalancing machine developed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Battery X Rebalancing Technologies Inc.
This groundbreaking reveal will also feature preliminary real-world results from rebalancing trials on a Nissan Leaf battery pack, signaling a major milestone in Battery X’s mission to extend the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries and revolutionize EV maintenance.
Targeting Aging EV Batteries
The Prototype 2.0 reveal builds on a series of strategic announcements throughout May, including expanded development to support the Nissan Leaf—the second most common out-of-warranty EV in the U.S. The rebalancing trials mark a crucial phase in validating compatibility across high-volume EV platforms, including both the Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model 3 and X, in partnership with Factor E Motors, a specialist in out-of-warranty Tesla repairs.
Battery X acquired the Nissan Leaf battery used in the trials from a third party for $1,120 and has been conducting pre- and post-rebalancing diagnostics, optimizing connector port designs, and refining standard operating procedures for future scalability.
Rebalancing to Restore Lost Capacity
Battery X’s technology has previously received validation from the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), which confirmed that the system was able to restore 99.4% of lost battery capacity by correcting cell imbalances in lithium-ion modules.
Such results are fueling hopes that Battery X’s rebalancing solution could become a commercially viable, eco-friendly alternative to costly battery replacements, especially for EVs nearing or beyond their warranty periods.
Battery X Rebalancing Technologies is focused on advancing proprietary systems that extend EV battery life, enhance performance, and support circular economy solutions. By pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with lithium-ion battery management, the company aims to pioneer a new market segment in EV battery reconditioning.
