Citroën, a part of Stellantis group, has named Xavier Chardon as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting on June 2, 2025. He will report to Jean-Philippe Imparato, Chief Operating Officer for Stellantis in the Enlarged Europe region.
Jean-Philippe Imparato said while commenting on the appointment,“I would like to thank Thierry Koskas for leading Citroën brand over the last two years and for achieving its line up renewal, most recently with the presentation of the new C5 Aircross.”
“We are very pleased to welcome Xavier Chardon to the head of Citroën. His rich and diverse career, his expertise in the automotive sector and his knowledge of the brand will be valuable assets in leading Citroën towards new horizons and strengthening its unique position in the market”, added Imparato.
Chardon has spent almost 20 years working with Citroën and has a strong background in international markets. His deep knowledge of the brand and wide experience in the auto industry make him well prepared for this new role.
He takes over at a time when Citroën is gaining momentum. His goal will be to build on the brand’s recent success and speed up its transformation in a fast-changing automotive world.
