In a significant boost to India’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, TATA.ev, the country’s largest 4-wheeler EV manufacturer, unveiled its first 10 MegaChargers across major urban centers and national highways. Developed in partnership with ChargeZone and Statiq, these ultra-fast charging stations mark a pivotal step toward the company’s goal of expanding India’s public EV charging network to 400,000 charge points by 2027.

The new TATA.ev MegaChargers are part of a broader “Open Collaboration” strategy aimed at strengthening EV adoption through seamless, long-distance mobility supported by robust charging infrastructure. These MegaChargers—capable of delivering a minimum of 120 kW of charging power—promise to drastically cut down wait times while enhancing user convenience and reliability.

“We are on a mission to provide fast, reliable, and effortless charging that enables seamless mobility across the country – and we are just getting started,” said Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd.
