Toyota has announced the launch of the all-new 2026 Toyota C-HR Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), marking a dynamic new addition to its growing electrified lineup. Featuring a coupe-inspired design and a performance-oriented drivetrain, the C-HR BEV is set to arrive at dealerships nationwide in 2026.

Equipped with a dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system, the 2026 C-HR BEV boasts a combined system output of 338 horsepower and an estimated 0–60 mph acceleration time of approximately five seconds, according to the manufacturer. It features a 74.7 kW battery, delivering an estimated all-electric range of up to 290 miles.

In line with evolving EV infrastructure, the C-HR BEV will be equipped with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, granting access to thousands of DC fast-charging stations across the country. It will also support Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters will control regenerative braking with four selectable levels to enhance efficiency and battery recharge.

Built from a compact BEV concept first introduced by Toyota in 2022, the C-HR BEV blends utility with premium design. It offers up to 25.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. On the exterior, standard features include a power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, low-profile roof rails, and available 18- and 20-inch wheels. Customers will also be able to choose from a wide selection of single and two-tone paint options.

Inside, the C-HR BEV will be offered in SE and XSE grades, featuring premium standard equipment such as a 14-inch touchscreen with Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia system, a fully digital instrument cluster, dual wireless charging pads, and the advanced Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. Upholstery options will range from fabric and SofTex®-trim to synthetic suede and SofTex-trim for added comfort and style.

The 2026 C-HR BEV represents the 20th electrified model in Toyota’s portfolio, supporting the company’s multi-pathway approach to carbon reduction. This strategy includes a broad range of powertrains — from BEVs and hybrids to plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles — tailored to meet diverse customer needs.

The C-HR BEV reaffirms Toyota’s commitment to offering innovative, performance-driven electrified vehicles while continuing its leadership in sustainable mobility.
