In a significant leap towards sustainable public transportation, EKA Mobility has been awarded the Letter of Award (LOA) for the supply and deployment of 750 state-of-the-art electric buses across 11 major cities in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be executed in collaboration with GreenCell Mobility, India’s leading electric bus mass mobility solutions provider.

The large-scale initiative will witness the rollout of both 9-meter and 12-meter fully electric buses in cities including Amravati, Anantapur, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.

Of the total order, 129 are nine-meter buses while 621 are twelve-meter variants, marking a transformative step in Andhra Pradesh’s green mobility mission. The deployment follows the Letter of Confirmation of Quantity (LOCQ) issued by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), and comes shortly after Rajasthan’s LOA for 675 electric buses, reinforcing India’s commitment to e-mobility.

Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Founder & Chairman of EKA Mobility and Pinnacle Industries Limited, expressed pride in contributing to India’s green transport vision. “We are proud to partner with the Government of Andhra Pradesh and collaborate with GreenCell Mobility to deliver green, smart, and efficient transportation solutions for the people of the state. This partnership marks a significant step toward building smarter, more sustainable cities across India,” he said.

This project is a major milestone in our mission to transform mass mobility through zero-emission electric buses. Together, we are enabling cleaner cities, generating green jobs, and building a more sustainable future for millions.”

This award is the latest addition to EKA Mobility’s expanding portfolio of electric mobility projects. The company recently secured orders worth ₹150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and approximately ₹400 crore from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), further solidifying its position as a key player in India’s public transport electrification drive.
