Huawei Showcases FusionCharge Solutions at Power2Drive 2025, Advancing the Future of Ultra-Fast EV Charging

Amid the global surge in electric vehicle (EV) adoption, the annual Power2Drive event took place in Munich, Germany. Held under the theme “Charging the Future of Mobility,” the event spotlighted the latest advancements, innovations, and solutions in the EV charging sector. Huawei Digital Power participated prominently, presenting its cutting-edge FusionCharge solutions and products to industry stakeholders and global visitors, while engaging in discussions on the future of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and the broader renewable energy landscape.

Driving Sustainable Charging with High Standards

Ignacio Diaz, Business Director of Huawei Digital Power Europe’s EV Charging Network, delivered a keynote titled “Embracing the New Era of Ultra-fast Charging while Jointly Charging the Road Ahead.” He highlighted Huawei’s role as a solutions provider, emphasizing that the Huawei FusionCharge Solution—launched in 2023—has set high standards for sustainable charging infrastructure. Already deployed across more than 200 cities and over 50 highways, including China’s G318 Highway, the solution is now expanding globally. Diaz emphasized the importance of open collaboration in building smarter, more efficient charging networks to improve the EV user experience and support the global shift toward green transportation.

Huawei FusionCharge Solution Powering the EVSE Market

At the event, Huawei Digital Power unveiled several advanced offerings, including its Liquid-Cooled Ultra-fast Charging Solution, high-efficiency charging modules, and its integrated PV and ESS Charging Solution. A standout feature—the full liquid cooling design of its ultra-fast solution—has drawn significant attention. This system can deliver a maximum output power of 720 kW and a charging current of up to 500 A through a single connector. The design not only ensures top-tier charging performance but also provides exceptional reliability, with an operational lifespan exceeding 10 years and reduced maintenance costs, boosting profitability for operators.

Collaborating for an Ultra-Fast Charging Future

Huawei also showcased a range of joint solutions developed with five ecosystem partners and hosted a series of keynote sessions at its booth. These discussions covered evolving EVSE trends, technology innovations, and real-world success stories. Through an open architecture approach, Huawei is working with partners to integrate its ultra-fast charging power units with various charging dispenser technologies, offering flexible solutions for a range of use cases. These efforts are helping to establish a comprehensive ultra-fast charging framework and accelerating the transition to electric mobility.
