Battery X Metals Inc., through its subsidiary Battery X Rebalancing Technologies Inc., has entered into a strategic collaboration with Vancouver-based Factor E Motors Ltd., an independent Tesla dealership, to advance its next-generation lithium-ion battery rebalancing system.

The partnership focuses on technical validation of Battery X’s patent-pending battery rebalancing software and hardware—particularly the newly delivered Prototype 2.0—using Tesla Model 3 and Model X battery packs from Factor E Motors. The aim is to extend battery life, reduce degradation, and support a more sustainable electric vehicle (EV) lifecycle.

Prototype 2.0 marks a significant leap in the company’s technological capabilities, offering improved diagnostics, advanced cell-balancing features, and a compact design tailored for field deployment. With this partnership, Factor E Motors will provide pre- and post-rebalancing diagnostics, storage facilities, and support in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs). The agreement is non-commercial and designed solely for R&D purposes at this stage.

Factor E Motors, operated by award-winning former Tesla technicians, is renowned for its expertise in Tesla diagnostics, repairs, and certified pre-owned vehicle sales. Their in-depth understanding of Tesla systems makes them an ideal partner for real-world validation of Battery X’s rebalancing technology.

The initiative builds on prior validation by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), which confirmed that Battery X’s technology restored up to 99.4% of lost battery capacity caused by cell imbalance. This innovation is particularly timely, as millions of Tesla vehicles—including the high-volume Model 3—are projected to exit battery warranty coverage by 2032, sparking increased demand for second-life battery solutions.

As Tesla continues to lead EV adoption worldwide—with over 1.8 million units delivered in 2023 alone—battery longevity has emerged as a pressing issue. Battery X aims to meet this challenge with rebalancing solutions that minimize replacement costs and extend battery utility.

This collaboration positions Battery X Rebalancing Technologies at the forefront of efforts to enhance EV battery health, reduce environmental impact, and support the long-term performance of electric vehicles globally.
