This summer, Formula 1 fans will see the sport hit the big screen like never before as F1, a high-octane movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, premieres globally in theatres and IMAX. Shot during real Formula 1 races, the film blends authentic on-track action with a gripping story, backed by Mercedes‑AMG as an official promotional partner. The brand supplied performance vehicles, including the Official FIA F1 Safety and Medical Cars, as well as models like the SL, G-Class, and GT for scenes beyond the racetrack.
To celebrate the partnership, Mercedes‑AMG is unveiling a special edition AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ “APXGP Edition” at the Miami Grand Prix, inspired by the movie’s fictional APXGP team. Packed with cutting-edge technology such as AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, rear-axle steering, and a 585 hp V8 biturbo engine, the car mirrors the film’s blend of realism and adrenaline. With a worldwide release set for late June 2025, F1 also features a star-studded cast and was created in collaboration with Formula 1 teams, drivers, the FIA, and race promoters, delivering an unprecedented level of authenticity for motorsport and movie fans alike.
