China remains at the forefront of the global shift to electric mobility, and Audi is reinforcing its position with a bold display at the 2025 Auto Shanghai. Alongside its local partners FAW and SAIC, Audi is presenting 19 models—including five new production debuts—highlighting its dual commitment to electric and combustion-engine vehicles.

From mid-2025, Audi will expand and modernize its China-specific portfolio. Leveraging three advanced platforms—Premium Platform Electric (PPE), Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), and the new Advanced Digitized Platform co-developed with SAIC—the brand aims to deliver a flexible, digital, and customer-focused vehicle lineup.

Five New Models at Center Stage

All five debuting models combine core Audi design and performance with innovations tailored for Chinese consumers. They feature next-gen cockpit experiences, advanced driver assistance systems, and new levels of comfort and efficiency.

Audi A5L

Produced by FAW Audi, this next-gen mid-size sedan features a 77 mm longer wheelbase than the global A5, offering more space and comfort. It is powered by ultra-modern combustion engines with 48V mild-hybrid technology and includes a panoramic MMI display and passenger screen as standard.

Audi Q5L

This extended version of the popular SUV boasts a wheelbase 125 mm longer than the global model. Underpinned by the PPC platform, it features mild-hybrid engines, a spacious cabin, and a design that balances power with practicality.

Audi A6L e-tron

AUDI E5 Sportback

The first model under the new AUDI sub-brand, the E5 Sportback was co-developed with SAIC and merges Audi’s design DNA with China’s speed of innovation. Featuring up to 579 kW of power, quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension, and a range of up to 770 km, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.
