In a bold move set to reshape the EV charging landscape, deep-tech mobility startup iGowise has joined forces with Patnaik Energy Group (PEG), a pioneer in Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions, to launch 5,000 portable power banks designed for electric vehicles, drones, and off-grid operations. Backed by a $1 million seed funding, the rollout will begin in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with plans to expand across India and into global markets.
These portable EV power banks—engineered for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, small electric cars, and even drones and farm equipment—will offer on-demand, plug-and-play charging at strategic urban and remote locations. Powered by cutting-edge chemistries like LFP, LMFP, and LTO, and embedded with AI-driven battery management systems (BMS), the units will feature advanced safety, cooling, and fast-charging capabilities.
“This is more than just a product launch—it’s a leap towards flexible, mobile, and universal energy access,” said Sravan Kumar, CEO of iGowise. “With iGo’s smart tilting trikes capable of safely transporting these units, we’re building an ecosystem that empowers last-mile riders, high-rise residents, and those in off-grid regions alike.”
Deployment Strategy:
The initiative includes a hybrid leasing and pay-per-use model, ensuring affordability and accessibility. Power banks will be placed in common charging facilities and accessed via mobile apps or scan-and-use kiosks. Users will be able to charge their devices or vehicles just like plugging into a wall socket—anytime, anywhere.
Sambit Patnaik, Founder & Director of PEG and RapidE Power, emphasized the broader vision: “After enabling battery swapping for delivery vehicles, this is our next step—supporting EVs with fixed batteries and extending our service to new sectors like drone tech, field research, and adventure travel.”
Roadmap Ahead:
The partnership targets deployment of 1,000 units in year one, with full-scale deployment of all 5,000 units within 24 months. International expansion and collaborations with major EV OEMs, logistics firms, and last-mile operators are also on the horizon.
With this collaboration, iGowise and PEG are redefining energy delivery by merging high-tech battery systems with a smart, mobile distribution network, establishing a scalable blueprint for the future of clean and convenient energy.
