The BMW Group kicked off 2025 with a powerful push toward electrification and regional growth, despite a dip in overall global vehicle deliveries. With a total of 586,149 vehicles delivered worldwide in the first quarter—marking a slight year-over-year decline of 1.4%—the group reported robust performance in key markets and surging demand for battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

Driven by the strength of its electric lineup and particularly strong growth in Europe and the U.S., the BMW Group delivered 109,516 fully-electric BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles, representing a 32.4% increase from the same period in 2024. This marks a new record for BEV deliveries in a single quarter. Europe led the electric charge, with BEV sales soaring 64.2%.

Jochen Goller, Member of the Board of Management at BMW AG for Customer, Brands, and Sales, highlighted the success of the company’s technology-open strategy, which balances all drive types. “Our products are winning over customers across all regions and technologies. The new fully-electric MINI models are especially resonating—one in three MINIs sold in Europe and over half in China were BEVs,” Goller noted.
