Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast officially launched its VF 6 electric SUV in the Philippines at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), unveiling a host of initiatives to accelerate the country’s green mobility transition.

The VF 6, a fully electric B-segment SUV, debuted alongside VinFast’s free EV charging program and key partnerships with major banks and dealerships, signaling the brand’s robust entry into the Philippine auto market.

Two trims of the VF 6 are now available—Eco and Plus—with MSRPs of PHP 1,419,000 and PHP 1,610,000, respectively. Deliveries for the Eco variant are expected to begin in May 2025.

As part of its green lifestyle initiative, VinFast introduced a buyback program offering up to 90% of the vehicle’s original value, applicable across its product lineup. This move aims to reassure consumers making the switch to electric vehicles.

Modern Design Meets Practicality
Jointly developed with Italy’s Torino Design, the VF 6 embodies the theme “The Duality in Nature,” blending futuristic styling with practical functionality. Measuring 4,241 x 1,834 x 1,580 mm and boasting a 2,730 mm wheelbase, the VF 6 offers interior space rivaling that of many C-segment gasoline vehicles.

Powering the VF 6 is an electric motor capable of delivering up to 150 kW and torque ranging from 250 Nm (Eco) to 310 Nm (Plus). The vehicle boasts a range of up to 480 km per charge under the NEDC standard. Key safety features include 8 airbags and 20 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) functions.

Free Charging, Extensive Warranty, and Service Expansion
VinFast also introduced a free charging program available at V-GREEN charging stations. V-GREEN, the Global Charging Station Development Company, aims to roll out 15,000 charging ports nationwide in 2025.

The VF 6 comes with a 7-year/160,000 km warranty, among the most competitive in its class. VinFast is collaborating with service partners like Motech and JIGA to build 100 authorized service centers across the country by the end of the year.

Strategic Partnerships to Drive EV Adoption
VinFast signed MOUs with EastWest Bank and BDO, focusing on EV financing solutions to ease the transition for Filipino consumers. These efforts align with the company’s goal to develop a complete green EV ecosystem, mirroring its successful model in Vietnam.

Auto show attendees can explore and test-drive these models at MIAS 2025, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with over 120 brands and 30 manufacturers participating.

“We’re thrilled to launch the VF 6 at one of the Philippines’ most prestigious auto shows,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia. “This model is poised to become a key player in the sustainable lifestyle of modern families in the Philippines.”

Nguyen Thanh Duong, CEO of V-GREEN, added, “Expanding the charging network not only boosts confidence in EVs but also builds public awareness of electric mobility infrastructure.”

Through its aggressive rollout of new models, a nationwide charging network, and strategic financial and service partnerships, VinFast reaffirms its long-term commitment to support the Philippines in achieving a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation future.
