TVS Motor Company has reported an impressive 17% year-on-year growth in sales for March 2025, with total units sold rising from 3,54,592 in March 2024 to 4,14,687 units. This robust performance underscores the company’s continued momentum across both domestic and international markets.
Strong Performance in Two-Wheeler Segment
The two-wheeler segment registered a 16% growth, with sales climbing from 3,44,446 units in March 2024 to 4,00,120 units in March 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales contributed significantly, rising by 14% from 2,60,532 units to 2,97,622 units.
Motorcycles saw a healthy 15% increase in sales, reaching 1,96,734 units compared to 1,71,611 units in the previous year. Scooters outpaced other segments with a stellar 27% growth, recording 1,66,297 units in March 2025, up from 1,31,472 units in March 2024.
EV Segment Powers Ahead
TVS’s electric vehicle (EV) business demonstrated remarkable momentum, registering a 77% growth. Sales jumped from 15,250 units in March 2024 to 26,935 units in March 2025, reflecting growing consumer preference for sustainable mobility.
International Business on the Rise
Exports played a key role in the company’s growth trajectory. Total exports surged by 23%, increasing from 91,972 units to 1,13,464 units year-on-year. Two-wheeler exports specifically rose 22%, reaching 1,02,498 units from 83,914 units in March 2024.
Three-Wheeler Segment Shows Revival
Three-wheeler sales also witnessed a sharp 44% increase, growing from 10,146 units in March 2024 to 14,567 units in March 2025, indicating a revival in demand in both domestic and international markets.
Q4 FY25 Snapshot
In the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, TVS registered a 14% increase in two-wheeler sales, which rose from 10.32 lakh units to 11.80 lakh units. The three-wheeler segment grew by 21%, from 0.30 lakh units to 0.37 lakh units. Export figures saw a strong 31% increase, rising from 2.60 lakh units to 3.40 lakh units.
Full-Year Performance FY 2024-25
TVS Motor Company closed FY 2024-25 with a solid 13% overall growth. Total sales rose from 41.91 lakh units in FY 2023-24 to 47.44 lakh units. Two-wheeler sales grew by 12%, reaching 43.30 lakh units from 38.51 lakh units.
However, three-wheeler sales declined slightly, dropping to 1.35 lakh units from 1.46 lakh units in FY 2023-24. On the brighter side, exports were up by 18%, hitting 11.95 lakh units compared to 10.13 lakh units in the previous fiscal.
