Deep-tech mobility startup iGowise Mobility (iGo) has announced a series of global partnerships to expand its footprint in the UK, Switzerland, and South America, reinforcing its commitment to the “Made in India, Made for the World” vision. By collaborating with leading international fleet operators—including EVMI Solutions (UK), Subeez (Switzerland), and Yaanco SAS (Colombia)—iGo aims to revolutionize the electric trike segment while tripling India’s automotive and technology exports by 2035.
The Bengaluru-based firm plans to roll out fully assembled e-trikes before 2026 and establish local micro-assembly shops within 24–30 months. These partnerships are tailored to address regional needs and cultural nuances, ensuring each market receives optimized solutions. For example, in South America, iGo will develop weather-resistant trikes for frequent rains and steep terrains, while the Northern European market will prioritize battery efficiency in extreme cold. In the Middle East, iGo will engineer trikes capable of withstanding 70°C temperatures and high-speed operations.
Speaking on this milestone, iGo founder Sravan Kumar Appana remarked, “For decades, India has relied on domestic consumption and imported technologies. Now, we are pioneering by exporting our innovations. By leveraging IP-led development, we can drive holistic and sustainable growth, opening a new era for iGo and Bharat.” He further emphasized that India’s automotive and technology exports could easily triple to USD 300 billion within a decade.
Bridging Gaps in the Imported EV Market
iGo’s iTrike LeanEV platform aims to address challenges faced by imported trikes from Japan and China, which suffer from high import costs, insurance, licensing, and registration issues. With a narrow-track twin-wheel design, iGo’s trikes eliminate the need for a three-wheeler license, offering a cost-effective and hassle-free alternative.
Dr. Ankur Seth, founder of Yaanco SAS (Colombia), noted, “South America is ready for electrification, and iGo’s technology will enhance safety, capacity, and reliability. With India’s cost-efficient and high-quality products, we can make a significant impact in both logistics and personal-use EV segments.”
Strengthening India’s EV Leadership
Through these global alliances, iGo is positioning itself as a leading player in the light electric vehicle (lightEV) space. The company is also collaborating with domestic fleet aggregator Hala Mobility to deploy 2,000 high-speed e-trikes, further solidifying its presence in India.
Additionally, iGo and its international partners plan to establish the world’s first micromobility lab, focusing on AI-powered micro-EV development. These initiatives are set to bolster India’s position as a global EV manufacturing hub and propel the country’s export-driven economic growth.
With its strategic export-plus-domestic approach, iGo is pioneering a new era for Indian mobility technology, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable, innovative, and globally competitive electric vehicles.
