Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Aribi Amartapura (Amarta), one of Indonesia’s top vehicle distributors, to accelerate its expansion in the country. The agreement marks a major step in VinFast’s global dealership strategy, enhancing brand visibility and accessibility for Indonesian consumers.
22 New Showrooms to Strengthen VinFast’s Market Presence
Under the agreement, VinFast will leverage Amarta’s 25 years of market expertise to establish 22 new showrooms between 2025 and 2027, targeting major urban centers such as Greater Jakarta and Bandung. Eleven showrooms are set to open in 2025, with the first expected to launch in March 2025.
Designed with a modern aesthetic and equipped with convenient charging ports, the showrooms will provide a seamless customer experience, from test drives and vehicle displays to after-sales services.
“We are excited to collaborate with Amarta to bring our smart, eco-friendly electric vehicles closer to Indonesian consumers,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia. “This partnership lays a strong foundation for VinFast to become a household name in electric mobility.”
VinFast Strengthens Its Indonesian EV Ecosystem
The partnership with Amarta aligns with VinFast’s global shift to a dealership model, allowing the company to optimize operations, reduce costs, and strengthen its brand presence internationally.
“It is an honor for Amarta to partner with VinFast, a pioneering EV brand from Vietnam,” said Angga Prawira Awang, CEO of Amarta. “By combining Amarta’s local market insights with VinFast’s superior product quality and affordable pricing, we can deliver exceptional value to Indonesian consumers while promoting green mobility and a sustainable future.”
VinFast currently operates 21 stores across Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Bali, and other key locations, offering a diverse range of electric vehicles, including the mini e-SUVs VF 3, VF 5, and VF e34. The company is also offering free EV charging until March 1, 2028, along with an industry-leading 7 to 10-year warranty, further underscoring its commitment to making sustainable transportation accessible.
VinFast’s Green Vision for Indonesia
