In a major step towards advancing green transportation in Southeast Asia, VinFast and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement was formalized during the Vietnam-Indonesia High-Level Business Dialogue, themed “Vietnam-Indonesia: Partnership for Progress and Prosperity.”
The signing ceremony, held in the presence of To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and key ministers from both nations, highlights the growing strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia in sustainable development and electric mobility.
Driving Indonesia’s Green Transition
Under the MOU, VinFast and BNI will collaborate on financial solutions to accelerate Indonesia’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs) and promote sustainable growth. The partnership will focus on:
Developing financing products to support VinFast’s “For a Green Future” ecosystem
Providing flexible financial schemes for Indonesian consumers to facilitate EV adoption
Offering special incentives such as preferential pricing for BNI employees and partners
Collaborating on awareness campaigns and strategic events to drive public engagement in EV usage
A Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
As a key financial partner, BNI will leverage its expertise to offer advisory support, local insights, and financial resources to VinFast, Vingroup ecosystem companies, business partners, and customers. This initiative aims to make EV ownership in Indonesia more accessible and cost-effective.
