Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, in collaboration with its long-standing partner DIMO, has launched a new range of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Sri Lanka. The unveiling marks Tata Motors’ re-entry into the Sri Lankan passenger vehicle market, making it the first brand to introduce new models following the market reopening.
The launch event featured Tata Motors’ latest SUV lineup, including the Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, and the Tata Curvv. Additionally, the company introduced its popular electric hatchback, the Tiago.ev, aiming to make electric mobility more accessible in Sri Lanka. To further showcase its EV prowess, Tata Motors presented an exclusive preview of the Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, and Curvv.ev.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s expansion into Sri Lanka. “Tata Motors has undergone significant transformation, and there is no better way to mark our return than with a game-changing product lineup. All ICE models come with a three-year/100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, while electric vehicles are covered for three years/125,000 km. Additionally, the high-voltage battery and motor in Tata EVs carry an eight-year/165,000 km warranty. Customers will also benefit from DIMO’s 24/7 island-wide roadside assistance, trained technical support, and dedicated service consultants.
DIMO has also invested in Tata Motors’ latest software updates, specialized tools, and repair manuals to uphold the highest industry standards. This ensures a seamless ownership experience and reinforces DIMO’s position as Sri Lanka’s most trusted automotive service provider.
