Hyundai IONIQ 9: Game-changing Electric SUV Offers Long Range, Next-level Comfort, Features and Capabilities

Hyundai has officially introduced the highly anticipated IONIQ 9, a revolutionary electric SUV that sets new benchmarks for range, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. Boasting a sleek, premium design and a spacious, high-quality cabin, the IONIQ 9 aims to redefine electric mobility with an industry-leading range and rapid charging capabilities.

Lounge-Like Interior with Intelligent Space Utilization
The IONIQ 9’s cabin is designed for maximum comfort, featuring a serene, lounge-inspired atmosphere with elliptical design elements, soft calming tones, and natural light from a Panoramic Sunroof. The SUV offers spacious second- and third-row seating, ensuring a luxurious ride for all passengers.

In select markets, Hyundai introduces Swiveling Second-Row Seats, allowing passengers to face each other while parked. The Universal Island 2.0 console enhances accessibility with a walk-through front row, bidirectional armrests, and up to 18.2 liters of flexible storage.

With 620 liters of cargo space in standard configuration—expandable to 1,323 liters with the third row folded—and an additional front trunk (88 liters in RWD, 52 liters in AWD models), the IONIQ 9 offers exceptional practicality for families and road trips.

Cutting-Edge HVAC System for Superior Comfort
Hyundai has integrated an advanced HVAC system that ensures optimal comfort and energy efficiency, even in extreme cold. A heat pump recycles waste heat to maintain cabin warmth without draining battery power, and a pre-conditioning system allows remote heating before departure.

Certified by Korea’s Ministry of Environment, the IONIQ 9 can travel over 400 km even at -7°C (19.4°F) while maintaining an interior temperature of 22°C with minimal energy consumption. The independent rear HVAC system can be deactivated when the third row is unoccupied to further conserve energy.

Long-Range Performance with Lightning-Fast Charging
Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the IONIQ 9 maximizes range, safety, and interior space. The SUV is powered by a 110.3 kWh NCM lithium-ion battery, available in multiple configurations:

Long-Range RWD: 160 kW rear motor, 620 km WLTP range, energy efficiency of 194 Wh/km
Long-Range AWD: 70 kW front motor paired with a rear motor for enhanced performance
Performance AWD: Dual 160 kW motors, accelerating 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds
Aerodynamic enhancements, including a 0.259 Cd drag coefficient, 3D-shaped underbody cover, hidden antennas, and a dual-motion active air flap system, further boost energy efficiency.

A Refined, Luxurious Driving Experience
The IONIQ 9 is engineered for smooth, stable, and dynamic driving. Equipped with a MacPherson multi-link front and multi-link rear suspension, self-leveling dampers, and hydro-bushing, it delivers a plush, comfortable ride with precise handling.

Hyundai’s Chassis Domain Control Unit (CDCU) enhances stability, while AI-powered Auto Terrain Mode optimizes traction for different surfaces. Active Noise Control-Road (ANC-R), acoustic glass, and sound-absorbing tires ensure an ultra-quiet cabin.

With advanced regenerative braking via paddle shifters, the IONIQ 9 offers an engaging yet refined driving experience, making it a true game-changer in the luxury electric SUV segment.

With its class-leading range, intelligent features, and next-level comfort, the Hyundai IONIQ 9 is set to redefine electric mobility in 2025.
