BYD India, the subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD, has officially announced the prices of its all-new fully electric SUV, the BYD SEALION 7. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the SEALION 7 has already received an overwhelming response, securing over 1000 bookings within a month under its Promotional Booking Policy.
The BYD SEALION 7 is priced at ₹48.9 lakh for the Premium variant and ₹54.9 lakh for the Performance variant (ex-showroom, including GST). Equipped with an 82.56 kWh battery pack, the SUV blends ocean-inspired aesthetics with advanced technology, setting a new benchmark in the Indian EV market.
Cutting-Edge Technology & Performance
The SEALION 7 incorporates BYD’s proprietary Intelligence Torque Adaption Control (iTAC) and CTB (Cell to Body) technology, which integrates the Blade Battery into the chassis, enhancing safety, handling, and cabin space. The vehicle delivers exceptional performance, with the Performance variant accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, while the Premium variant achieves the same in 6.7 seconds.
On a full charge, the SEALION 7 Premium variant offers a driving range of 567 km, while the Performance variant delivers 542 km, as per NEDC testing standards. The Premium trim generates 230 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, whereas the Performance variant boasts an impressive 390 kW power output and 690 Nm torque.

Designed by BYD’s Global Design Director, Wolfgang Egger, the SEALION 7 boasts an aerodynamic silhouette with a signature ‘OCEAN X’ front styling. Inside, the SUV offers premium quilted Nappa leather seats, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, a panoramic glass roof, and ambient lighting with 128 color options.
For an enhanced driving experience, the SEALION 7 includes a 12-speaker Dynaudio system, ventilated and heated seats, a 50W wireless phone charger, and an intelligent tailgate. The SUV also prioritizes safety with 11 airbags, Driver Fatigue Monitoring, and Vehicle to Load (VTOL) technology, allowing it to function as a mobile power station.
Customer Benefits & Warranty
To enhance the ownership experience, BYD India is offering a complimentary 7kW charger with installation, six-year roadside assistance, and an initial free inspection service. The vehicle also comes with a six-year/150,000 km warranty on the Low Voltage Battery, which is six times lighter than conventional batteries and has a 15-year lifespan. Additionally, the Blade Battery is covered under an eight-year warranty.
