Audi is enhancing its Q4 e-tron lineup with a new entry-level variant that boasts an extended range, advanced charging capabilities, and premium features. The Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron offer up to 412 km (256.0 miles) and 423 km (262.8 miles) of range, respectively, with DC fast-charging power of 165 kW. Orders for the new model will open in mid-February 2025.
Enhanced Range and Performance
Audi’s latest Q4 40 e-tron variant now features a 63 kWh battery (59 kWh net), providing an optimal balance between efficiency and performance. With rapid charging, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes, adding 150 km (93.2 miles) of range in just ten minutes under ideal conditions. A permanently excited synchronous motor (PSM) on the rear axle delivers 150 kW (204 PS), enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h (99.4 mph).
Smarter Charging and Maintenance
To improve charging convenience, manual battery preconditioning is now available via the MMI system, ensuring optimal battery temperature for fast-charging stations. Additionally, the predictive maintenance reminder in the myAudi app provides real-time updates on key vehicle components, including brake pads and battery health. Customers can also enable automatic dealer notifications for timely service appointments.
Advanced Connectivity and Infotainment
The Audi application store in the MMI system allows direct access to a wide selection of apps, including news, podcasts, sports, and entertainment, without needing a smartphone. A one-year, 25 GB data package via Cubic Telecom ensures seamless connectivity. Navigation tools allow users to precisely plan charging stops with real-time data on station availability and preferred providers like IONITY.
With integrated ChatGPT, the Q4 e-tron models feature voice-controlled infotainment, navigation, and climate settings for a hands-free, intuitive driving experience. This service is powered by Azure OpenAI Service and Cerence Inc.’s Chat Pro solution.
Premium Features at a Competitive Price
The Audi Q4 40 e-tron starts at €46,150, while the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron starts at €48,150. Both models come equipped with premium standard features, including Audi MMI navigation plus, Audi virtual cockpit, electric luggage compartment lid, and front seat heating. Orders begin in mid-February 2025.
