VinFast Auto Ltd. (“VinFast”) has reported a record-breaking fourth quarter (4Q24), delivering 53,139 electric vehicles (EVs) globally, marking a 143% quarter-over-quarter increase and a 342% year-over-year surge.
For the full year 2024, VinFast delivered 97,399 EVs worldwide, exceeding its revised guidance of 80,000 units and achieving a 192% annual growth rate. The surge was primarily driven by strong demand for affordable models and robust sales in its domestic market, Vietnam.
Setting New Milestones & 2025 Growth Ambitions
The fourth quarter saw VinFast set monthly delivery records for three consecutive months, reinforcing its expanding market presence. In January 2025 alone, VinFast’s Vietnam sales topped 10,000 units, including:
4,000+ VF 3 mini-SUVs
3,300 VF 5 compact SUVs
Looking ahead, VinFast aims to at least double its global deliveries in 2025, capitalizing on increasing demand and international expansion.
e-Scooter and e-Bike Sales Surge
In addition to EVs, VinFast’s e-scooter and e-bike segment also saw significant growth, with 31,170 units delivered in 4Q24—a 65% increase quarter-over-quarter and 41% year-over-year. For full-year 2024, the company delivered 70,977 e-scooters and e-bikes, a 1% annual increase.
