Vietnamese automaker VinFast announced a remarkable achievement in 2024, delivering more than 87,000 electric vehicles (EVs) domestically, surpassing its global annual delivery target. In December alone, the company delivered over 20,000 EVs, cementing its leadership in Vietnam’s rapidly growing EV market.
Dominance in the Domestic Market
The VF 5 model emerged as the top-selling vehicle in the SUV A-segment and the overall domestic market, with over 4,900 units sold in December and an impressive total of more than 32,000 units in 2024. Following closely, the VF 3 recorded over 8,800 deliveries in December and more than 25,000 for the year.
“Our strong domestic performance reflects the growing trust in VinFast’s innovative and sustainable mobility solutions,” the company stated.
Expanding the Green Series for 2025
Building on its 2024 successes, VinFast unveiled its new “Green” series, featuring four models optimized for transportation service businesses. Deliveries for the Green series are set to begin in 2025, signaling VinFast’s strategic expansion in the commercial EV segment.
Industry Recognition and Data
The company’s achievements are backed by data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, Thanh Cong Group, and internal metrics. VinFast’s robust growth reinforces Vietnam’s emergence as a key player in the global EV landscape.
