EMO Energy, a trailblazing energy-tech startup, has raised $6.2 million in its Series A funding round, led by Subhkam Ventures with participation from existing investor Transition VC.

Founded in 2022 by Sheetanshu Tyagi and Rahul Patel, veterans from Tesla, Rivian, Ather, and General Motors, the company is revolutionizing urban energy with its advanced battery hardware and software solutions. At the core of its innovation is the proprietary Cell Agnostic Tech stack, ZEN, enabling ultra-fast 20-minute charging while extending battery life to over five years. The deep-tech suite includes an AI-powered Battery Management System, Active Thermal Management, and machine learning algorithms designed for mobility and energy storage.

“We aim to create an integrated urban energy solution by deploying batteries and chargers for energy storage and light mobility. This funding equips us to scale operations exponentially and build an ecosystem of delivery vehicles, fast chargers, and energy storage systems managed by our integrated software,” said Sheetanshu Tyagi, Co-founder & CEO of EMO Energy.

With this capital infusion, EMO plans to expand its energy solutions for two and three-wheelers, targeting over 1 lakh vehicles within two years and deploying 1 GWh of energy storage. Additionally, funds will bolster the startup’s R&D capabilities for battery health extension software and support team expansion to meet increasing operational demands.

EMO Energy has already deployed over 2,000 battery packs in the mobility segment and is running production-ready pilots for energy storage systems, aiming to replace diesel generators in industrial and commercial applications. Key clients include Kinetic Green, BigBasket, Domino’s, and Blinkit.

This latest funding positions EMO Energy as a critical player in India’s transition to sustainable energy, paving the way for mass EV adoption and eco-friendly energy solutions.
