In a significant move towards sustainable and seamless passenger transportation, Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to introduce a premium all-electric taxi service for travellers. The service will ensure eco-friendly and comfortable commutes for passengers, with pick-up and drop-off facilities located conveniently at the arrival and departure kerbs to minimize walking distances.
The all-electric fleet will operate 24/7, providing round-the-clock availability for passengers arriving and departing from NIA. Booking options will include a dedicated mobile app, website, call centre, airline alliances, and airport kiosks, offering easy access and convenience to travellers.
Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport, emphasized the initiative’s dual focus on passenger convenience and environmental responsibility. He stated, “At NIA, your journey will not end with baggage claim. We are excited to partner with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to offer a premium, all-electric taxi service, providing a seamless and environment-friendly ride directly from the airport to your destination. This first-of-its-kind airport-branded cab service will set a new benchmark for passenger convenience and environmental responsibility.”
Mahindra Logistics Mobility will operate the fleet with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and service quality. Drivers will undergo comprehensive training on airport protocols and customer service standards to ensure a superior passenger experience. The service will incorporate dynamic, real-time adjustments based on passenger demand and flight schedules to reduce waiting times. A robust feedback mechanism will further help in continuously improving the quality of service.
The partnership aligns with Noida International Airport’s commitment to sustainability, marking a significant step toward a greener future. NIA, which aims to combine Indian hospitality with Swiss precision, is poised to handle 12 million passengers annually in its first phase, with plans to expand capacity to 70 million passengers upon the completion of all four development phases.
This innovative, eco-friendly taxi service represents a major milestone in enhancing passenger mobility and underscores NIA’s vision to redefine modern air travel with efficiency and sustainability at its core.
