Auto Guangzhou 2024 promises exciting debuts as Audi, in collaboration with FAW and SAIC, showcases three exclusive models tailored for the Chinese market.
The Audi Q6L e-tron, the first locally produced vehicle based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), will make its public debut ahead of its December market launch. Produced at the newly established Changchun facility by Audi FAW NEV Company, the Q6L e-tron features an extended wheelbase, market-specific design elements, and a cutting-edge interior tailored for Chinese customers.
FAW Audi will also present the Audi A5L, successor to the A4L, marking a shift to Audi’s new international naming system. Built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the A5L combines a spacious cabin with dynamic proportions and market-specific options, such as illuminated door mirrors and advanced tech solutions.
At the SAIC stand, visitors will witness the trade fair debut of the AUDI E concept. This near-production Sportback, co-developed with SAIC, combines Audi’s design and engineering prowess with SAIC’s digital expertise. Featuring dual electric motors with 570 kW output, quattro all-wheel drive, and a sleek 4.87-meter profile, the AUDI E concept targets tech-savvy Chinese consumers. It also previews three upcoming production models launching in 2025 under the AUDI brand.
With these launches, Audi strengthens its dual-partner strategy in China, creating customized solutions to cater to the country’s evolving automotive market.
