The Kia EV3 has been named one of seven finalists for the 2025 Car of the Year award, chosen from an initial list of 42 models by a panel of 60 jurors representing 23 countries. This milestone marks the fourth consecutive year a Kia electric vehicle has reached the final round, following the Kia EV6’s victory in 2022.
With a class-leading range of up to 605 km (WLTP), the EV3 features 400V fast-charging technology, enabling a charge from 10% to 80% in just 29 minutes*. Drivers can also gain up to 202 km of range in only 15 minutes, making the EV3 one of the most efficient electric vehicles in its segment. Supporting its performance is Kia Charge, the brand’s extensive network that provides access to over 800,000 charging points across 28 European countries.
The EV3 showcases Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, blending modern aesthetics with natural harmony. Its 2.68m wheelbase and 4.30m length create a spacious, living room-inspired interior, complemented by practical features such as a 460L boot, a flexible two-tier floor, and a 25L trunk.“I am proud that Kia is the only brand present in Europe that reached six times the COTY finalist stage over the last eight editions and even won with a dedicated EV,” said Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe. “As a versatile and affordable electric vehicle, the Kia EV3 is proof that an EV can be the main car of the household while suiting a variety of lifestyles – and it is available now across Europe.”
