Audi is marking a new chapter in China’s automotive landscape by launching a unique brand for the country—AUDI, distinct from its traditional four-ring emblem, exclusively designed and developed for Chinese consumers. In partnership with SAIC, the new brand unveils the AUDI E concept, an electric and intelligent vehicle tailored to exceed China’s tech-forward market demands, promising innovations in connectivity, design, and power.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner emphasized that the AUDI brand is crafted to cater to the distinct needs of China’s young, tech-oriented customers, offering an unmatched driving experience. “With this launch, Audi is breaking new ground to reach more tech-savvy customer segments,” Döllner stated. The AUDI E concept reflects this ambition, merging German engineering with Chinese innovation.
The AUDI E concept, built on the new Advanced Digitized Platform, features two electric motors with a combined output of 570 kW and a 100-kWh battery, providing a range of 700 km (CLTC). A high-tech 800-volt charging system allows 370 km of range in just 10 minutes. Inside, the concept offers a digitalized, luxurious cabin, complete with a 4K display, digital mirrors, and touch-sensitive controls.
Slated to enter production in 2025, AUDI aims to redefine premium electric mobility in the world’s largest auto market by offering a unique blend of Audi’s signature engineering with China-specific innovations.
