VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, reported a total sales of 7,112 units in October 2024, reflecting a 5% decrease from the 7,486 units sold in October 2023. The dip includes a decline across both Eicher and Volvo brands, with Eicher branded trucks and buses recording 6,911 units and Volvo branded vehicles accounting for 201 units.
In the domestic commercial vehicle market, Eicher trucks and buses saw a 6.6% decrease, with 6,611 units sold in October 2024 compared to 7,077 units during the same month last year. Despite this decline, Eicher’s exports experienced a significant boost, reaching 300 units in October 2024—a 49.3% increase over the 201 units exported in October 2023.
Meanwhile, Volvo Trucks and Buses sold 201 units in October 2024, down 3.4% from 208 units in October 2023.
