Tata Motors Limited has announced its total sales figures for October 2024, reporting 82,682 vehicles sold across domestic and international markets, a slight decrease from the 82,954 units sold in October 2023.

In the domestic market, Tata Motors achieved stable sales, with 80,839 units sold in October 2024, mirroring the 80,825 units sold in the same month last year. This reflects consistent demand across key vehicle segments.

Commercial Vehicle Segment

The commercial vehicle (CV) segment saw mixed performance. Total CV sales remained steady at 34,259 units, close to the 34,317 units sold in October 2023. Notably, intermediate and light commercial vehicles (ILMCV) saw a 9% increase, while passenger carriers grew by 13%. However, heavy commercial vehicles (HCV) saw a slight 2% decline, with small commercial vehicle (SCV) and pickup sales down by 3%.

In the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MH&ICV) category, domestic sales, including trucks and buses, reached 15,574 units, showing a modest increase from 15,211 units last October. For both domestic and international MH&ICV sales combined, the figure rose to 16,274 units, compared to 16,048 units last year.

Passenger Vehicle Segment

Passenger vehicle (PV) sales remained consistent, with 48,423 units sold in October 2024, only slightly below the 48,637 units from October 2023. This category includes electric vehicles (EVs), which totaled 5,355 units, reflecting a minor 2% decline.

These figures include sales from Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, Tata Motors Limited’s subsidiaries.

Despite minimal year-on-year changes, Tata Motors’ performance in October 2024 highlights the company’s resilience in maintaining steady sales across segments in a competitive market landscape.
