A major attraction at Continental’s booth is the KTM 990 DUKE R, fitted with ContiRoadAttack 4 tires and several cutting-edge Continental features such as the 8.88-inch display and Connected Infotainment Box. The booth also highlights the capabilities of the TKC 80, a tire that has served adventure riders for nearly 40 years, known for its durability on varied terrains from desert sands to gravel roads. The versatile ContiTrailAttack 3, designed for adventure and everyday riding, and the high-performance ContiAttack SM 2, which boasts improved mileage and racing prowess, are also drawing attention from visitors.
New Digital Display in Extra-Wide Format Debuts
Making its premiere at EICMA is the 8.88-inch 4:1 display, part of Continental’s MultiViu technology platform. The extra-wide format optimizes space on motorcycles, allowing essential information such as navigation and smartphone data to be displayed clearly on a single screen. With a high resolution of 1,920 x 480 pixels and optical bonding for better contrast, the touch display offers motorcyclists superior image quality and user-friendliness.
TMC Brings Gear Automation to Two-Wheelers
Another key innovation at the show is the Twin Motor Control Unit (TMC), developed by Continental Engineering Services (CES). The TMC automates manual transmissions on two-wheelers, offering multiple driving modes from efficient street performance to high-powered rides. Compact and versatile, the TMC is already in series production with a German premium motorcycle manufacturer and supports models like the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE. The system allows for fully automatic shifting or quick shifting without clutch use, promising a smoother and more dynamic riding experience.
