VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, announced a robust sales performance in September 2024, recording 7,609 units sold—an increase of 5.7% compared to the 7,198 units sold in September 2023. The sales include 7,322 units of the Eicher brand and 287 units of the Volvo brand.
Eicher Brand Sales Surge
The Eicher branded trucks and buses accounted for the majority of the sales, with 7,322 units sold in September 2024, reflecting a 5.1% growth from the 6,965 units sold in the same month last year. In the domestic commercial vehicle (CV) market, the brand recorded sales of 6,847 units, up 2.0% from 6,715 units in September 2023.
Exports of Eicher branded trucks and buses saw a significant rise, with 475 units sold in September 2024, a 90% increase compared to the 250 units exported in September 2023.
Volvo Brand Sees Strong Growth
Volvo Trucks and Buses also demonstrated positive momentum, with 287 units sold in September 2024, up 23.2% from the 233 units sold in the same period last year.
The overall growth highlights VECV’s continued strength in both domestic and export markets, further solidifying its position as a key player in the commercial vehicle industry.
