FC Bayern Munich’s top players and coaching staff have received their new company cars for the current soccer season, with a focus on sustainability and electrification. At the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt, Audi employees handed over the keys to an array of all-electric premium models, continuing a partnership that has made electric vehicles the standard for the club’s fleet since 2020.

Star Players Opt for Audi’s Electric SUVs
Among the vehicles handed over were Audi SQ8 SUV e-tron2 models for high-profile players including Harry Kane, Joshua Kimmich, head coach Vincent Kompany, and Manuel Neuer. Rising star Jamal Musiala selected the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron, while up-and-coming talent Aleksandar Pavlović chose the Audi Q4 e-tron. The fleet emphasizes Audi’s commitment to promoting electric mobility among Germany’s most successful soccer club.

Several other players, including Thomas Müller, Konrad Laimer, and Leon Goretzka, opted for the high-performance Audi RS e-tron GT. The event had a touch of match-day excitement as FC Bayern’s players arrived on their team bus, greeted by fans and match day announcer Stephan Lehmann.

Strengthening a Long-standing Partnership
Audi CEO and FC Bayern Supervisory Board Member Gernot Döllner highlighted the importance of the 22-year partnership, stating, “As we move towards an electric future, FC Bayern’s professional players are important ambassadors, helping to inspire people about electric mobility with our all-electric models.” Michael Diederich, Vice Chairman of FC Bayern Munich, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the club’s dedication to sustainability through its partnership with Audi, which aligns with FC Bayern’s sustainability strategy, ‘Mitnand.’

The collaboration has also seen the installation of over 50 charging points at the Allianz Arena and 38 charging points at the club’s Säbener Straße training grounds, underscoring the practical support for the transition to electric vehicles.

New Digital Features with the FC Bayern App
As part of their expanded partnership, FC Bayern Munich and Audi have launched the official FC Bayern app on the Audi Application Store, allowing fans to stay connected with their team while on the go. The app, optimized for in-car use, provides access to live match updates, news, match reports, and exclusive content like interviews and livestreams. It’s available in select Audi models equipped with the latest infotainment system (MIB 3), including the Audi Q6 e-tron, Audi A8, and more.

A Growing Partnership Beyond the Pitch
Since 2002, Audi has been a partner of FC Bayern’s men’s team, extending the collaboration in 2020 through 2029. In 2021, Audi began supporting the club’s women’s team, and in 2024, expanded its backing to youth and development programs, cementing its role as a comprehensive partner across all levels of FC Bayern’s soccer operations. As a shareholder in FC Bayern München AG since 2011, Audi’s commitment to the club remains strong, mirroring the ambitions of both organizations to be leaders in their respective fields.

With these initiatives, FC Bayern Munich and Audi are setting a standard for sustainability in sports, combining the passion for soccer with the future of electric mobility.
