Hyundai Motor Company is commemorating a historic milestone of producing 100 million vehicles worldwide with the grand opening of its ‘One Step Further’ exhibition at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul. This exhibition highlights the key elements that contributed to this significant achievement and expresses gratitude to customers who have supported the brand throughout its journey.

The exhibition features iconic models from Hyundai’s history, including the Cortina Mark 2, the company’s first production vehicle, and the Pony, its first independently developed model. The event follows a celebratory occasion held at Hyundai’s Ulsan Plant on September 30, where the 100 millionth vehicle—a modern IONIQ 5 electric car—was handed over to its new owner, symbolizing Hyundai’s appreciation for its loyal customers.

Sungwon Jee, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor Company, stated, “It takes thousands of parts and pieces to build a car, with the combined efforts of millions of people involved in R&D, design, and manufacturing over many years. We wanted to shed light on these behind-the-scenes efforts that went into producing 100 million vehicles and tell the story of Hyundai Motor’s transformation from a traditional automaker to a leading smart mobility solutions provider.”

The exhibition spans five floors, beginning with the first floor, which introduces the Cortina Mark 2 and Pony. The second floor showcases the history of Hyundai’s major plants, while the third floor focuses on key models that propelled the company to its production milestone, including the first-generation SONATA, ELANTRA, and Scoupe.

The fourth and fifth floors present Hyundai’s modern lineup of SUVs—SANTA FE, KONA, and INSTER—alongside its electric vehicle offerings, such as the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, and IONIQ 6. This display emphasizes Hyundai Motor’s commitment to evolving from a traditional automaker into a forward-thinking smart mobility solutions provider.
